Childproof
03:30
|
|||
Oh when did you fall off the edge?
When I only had my back turn for
Less than a few minutes
I planned to childproof you
Like the cap on happy pills
That make you see the world above
Like the world below
It’s a good idea to focus more on things
You know can be fixed
Oh I know it seems like
Like I’m not even trying
But I swear I am
Couldn't save myself
But there’s still time for
Time for you to
And don’t you let it get you down
There’s still work to be done here
And don’t you let it get you down
There’s still hope to be found here
If I climb to the top of this tree
And jumped off the top
Would this all
Stop?
no

Wanting to Wake
04:14
|
|||
I lay down on the ground
Breathe in oxygen
Hear the soft pitter patter
Of sticks on the carpeting
We march in the rain
We march in the heat we
Run in cold and talk the nights away
And sometimes it's enough that I can remember
The good stuff, like
Falling asleep
And wanting to wake
Falling asleep
And wanting to wake the next day
I close my eyes
lose track of the time
Feel the warmth of the black top
On my sore back
And sometimes it's enough that I can remember
The good stuff, like
Falling asleep
And wanting to wake
Falling asleep
And wanting to wake
Falling asleep
And wanting to wake
Falling asleep
And wanting to wake the next day

Slowly Breaking
05:13
|
|||
Maybe we could stay the same
Through all this change that only brings
Confusing philosophies
The simple complexity
And we’re barely getting by
Cause everybody is too
Busy branding pretty
For you and me
Can you tell me why we can’t all get along
Like before when no one was pretending
Can you tell me why we can’t all get along
Stop playing nice 'cause
I’m not buying it
Wish we could’ve stayed the same
Confusing philosophies are slowly
Breaking
Try so hard you don’t know why you
Try so hard you don’t know why it matters
Does it even matter?
The worth while things in life are just as
Tired as you are
Trying to hide the shame
The shame of being sane

How Do I Love Thee
03:02
|
|||
How do I love thee let me count the ways
I love you more than the Indy runway
The song bird sings
His plume to gloat
I’ll grab the freak
And wring his throat
La lalalala laaaa
La lalalala laalala
How do I love thee let me count the ways
I love you more than blackberries in May
We swing beneath
Blue skies and leaves
Forgetting all we use to be
Forgetting all we use to be

Lonely Ones
04:00
|
|||
Our eyes will turn back clear
Let your mind run over again
With hope our eyes will turn back
Lonely ones
And you controlling ones
Oh lonely ones
You controlling
Find a way out
Don’t give up
Don’t Fall away
Away or else
They’ll kick you around
They’ll kick you when you're
Down
They’ll kick you around town
And it wasn't always this way
It wasn't always
And if you say too much
It’ll all fall apart
We’ll be found out
Let your mind run over again
With hope our eyes will turn back
Lonely ones
And you controlling ones
Oh lonely ones
You controlling

Death of a Salesman
04:21
|
|||
T-t-t-tell me the story of your life
No tall tales, just the harsh cold lies
At first you stutter
Light turns to night, and you
Begin your chant
I apologize for all the wrongs I’ve made, but
I try and I try and I just can’t change
You never hear me when I’m speaking
You never let me finish what I’m saying
I have a life on the telephone lines
Please let me be
Time will find you
Time will find you
Should’ve left a long time ago
If only I had known
Should’ve left a long time ago
If only I had stood my own
Kids oh oh how they grow so fast
Kids oh oh how they grow so fast
Time waves and it’s gone

Bruised Eared Boy
02:01
|
|||
A bruised eared boy
And a bending girl
A bruised eared boy
And a bending girl
They traveled over mountains and hills
Seas and streams
Just to find who they’re meant to be
Lose past identities and maybe
Pull back the blinds that have
Blackened their lives
Live the dreams
That have never been told
Because of the fears
That we deeply hold
A bruised eared boy

Pretending
03:32
|
|||
Buckets full of laughter though there was nothing
Funny going on
And their sarcasm only thickened
As the night grew long
If you can live with it
Well then good for you
Though everyone I've met so far
Finds it awfully hard to do
You gave it all away and yet still managed
To keep her respect
And it was fine until you saw her
Following in your steps
Crush your pride stop pretending that everything’s alright
Cause people get hurt and people die
Nothing here’s your own
Not even your life
